Glad for What I have

Today I decided to go get my nasty hands taken care of. I had some pretty bad hang nails and really just wanted a manicure. While I was getting my nails done I was listening to 2 women talk.They were talking about the boys how at the age of 14 were so ready to date. One lady said her older son was like that when he was 14, but her younger son when he was 14 didn't care much to have a girl friend. I kind of giggled, because that is how it is at my house. Joshie always has a girl friend and has for forever, Bubba on the other hand is happy just to hang out with his friends. Although on his 15th Birthday he told me he wanted to rent a scary movie and cuddle with a pretty girl. That kid makes me laugh.
As I was listening one of the moms then started talking about her daughter, and how she will not let her get her license. How she would rather take her everywhere she needs to go. She then proceeded to say how her daughter is a cutter, and a suicide girl. Just hearing that made me so sad for her. Sad because how does life get so bad that you want to end it? My life has been pretty bad a few times, and that has never crossed my mind. I am just so grateful that I have what I do, and that I have had the trials that I have. They seem so tiny compared to others.
Makes me grateful for my kiddos too!! I would love to get a million calls from the cops because my kids are just being teenagers, than a call that said they tried to kill themsevles. Life is precious, we need to enjoy every minute of it.
