Typical car ride

Years ago after our car had been broken into, and our radio and all things that went with it Cd's, amp,sub woofer, and a 6 disk CD changer, Josh and I learned to talk to each other instead of listening to music. We didn't replace it for years, we couldn't we didn't have the money to dump into all that again.
That was back in the day when we were young, and the cool thing was to have a nice system in your car. Josh spent a ton of money on it before we were married, and then after we got married we still spent some money on it.
Any ways, we learned to talk on our car rides. Well now days we are blessed to have to radios in our cars, and we all love to listen to our music loud, and sometimes it drives me CRAZY!!
This is a typical ride: We( the family) get in the car, radio comes on,gets put on seek. "oh oh dad stop it" so his pushes the seek button so it stops on the song the kids like, as soon as it's over he pushes seek again it goes for a little while and then oh oh dad will you go back to that song. Finally he just leaves it on a station. Then a few minutes later "dad will you turn it up?" so he turns it up.
After a few minutes one of the boys will start to talk to Josh about anything. They will ask him questions about things they are thinking. But they aren't talking, they are YELLING over the music. This drives me CRAZY!!! So then I reach over after about 10 minutes and turn the radio off, and guess what then they stop talking and the whole car is quite for a while.
Sometimes I wish we didn't have radios!! I think then we may learn a little bit about each other.
