Well lets just say weather your a little kid,a teenager, or married with your own family it affects you.
It's been 30 years since my parents got divorced, and it has messed all of our lives up. But what good does it do us to dwell on it. NO GOOD AT ALL. I think there is a reason that Tom and I have Happy Marriages. We have moved on, we don't care to think about the past. The what ifs. We don't care to point the finger, or the blame we know both sides were to blame.We know that neither side was perfectly truthful. we don't care. It is what it is. Our stressing about it isn't going to change it.
Mary is getting baptised this up coming Saturday, lets just say I dread occasions like this.
Right now I am the only child that has a relationship with both sides, therefor everyone is invited. I hate it!! I am on edge the whole time. I never know if someone is going to blow up and make a scene and that's what makes me nervous.
That is one of the reasons I am so against divorce.30 years later it still affects me.

I'm sorry you have to even worry about this, but you're doing a great job showing love to everyone. I'm sure it'll turn out wonderful for Mary.
I totally agree Heid. I really admire you for nurturing the relationships on both sides ~ that is so hard. I've said it before, but your family is so lucky to have you. You are wonderful. Can't wait to see you in June.
