So yesterday was Josh's first wrestling meet. He was so excited, he kept saying "you are going to be surprised when I take the kid out in 20 seconds". I just said to myself " You just wait". Josh made it on to the varsity team, because there was no one with his weight.
So as I see the kid that he is going to wrestle, I just cringe. The kid was strong. So as the meet starts, I am watching these kids get pounded, their faces smashed into the mat, their arms stretched behind them. The whole time I was cringing, thinking to myself my sons beautiful face isn't going to survive this, let alone his skinny scrawny body. This sport is my least favorite.
As I watched all his friends, and team mates I new that this wasn't going to be as fun as I thought it was. It just looks like it hurts. SDJH lost, I hope things go better for them next time.

oooo - I hate wrestling. You're brave for enduring it. Don't worry - his face will be fine, it's his arms, fingers, legs, toes, etc.. that won't survive the stretching! ;)
