Sometimes I take my awesome situation for granted. As a child I came from a divorced family. I lived with my dad, who lived with his parents. I was very lucky. My grandparents raised me and my brothers. My dad remarried when I was 6, and now I had a little sister. We moved out a few times but always made our way back to GRANDMAS HOUSE. Both parents worked full time, and didn't have a ton of time to be with kids. Grandma and Grandpa didn't seem to mind.
Grandma and Grandpa both worked as well, but Grandma was always home when we got home from school. She always had something like cookies or cinnimon rolls hot out of the oven. She always made sure that we( the kids) were taken care of. She also invited our friends to stay and have something to eat as well.
My Grandma also cooked our meals and cleaned the house. Dinner was always at 5:00. The house was always clean before we got home, and I mean walls washed cubboards cleaned windows washed. My Grandma was and still is always doing something. She is like Wonder Woman.
I am so grateful that Josh has a good job, and that I am able to stay home with our kids. That I don't have the stress about working. Yeah I may not have the biggest and nicest house, but our kids have me. Me when they wake up, me when they get home from school, and me cooking and cleaning and teaching them how to do all those things as well. I am very lucky to be able to spend so much one on one time with them. I love being with my kids. I love being able to stay home. I love being able to sit down and talk to them and be there friend as well as their mom. I am so blessed. I am grateful for such a wonderful life, and for such a wonderful Husband who would work 3 jobs if it ment that I got to stay home.
