Today was the High School talent show. Josh made it, and he has been working so hard. I don't know of another kid who has taught himself how to play the piano off of youtube. Any song he wants to play he just pulls it up and watches it. Give him about a week and he knows how to play it.
For the talent show I suggested that he play a song that he knew, because you get nervous and sometimes you just need to feel comfortable. So he decided to play a song that my Grandpa wrote This Crimson Land. One of my favorites.
So we showed up, and he was so nervous. He was #5. I think I was as nervous as he was. Before we knew it he was up. This was his introduction" This next one is for all the ladies in the house. Josh Redd is ready to melt your heart with a piece written by his grandfather. Prepare to have a new crush... He walks out onto the stage in his sock that were different colors. Everyone was screaming!! They love this kid. He started to play got a little nervous because someone yelled "take your shirt off!" messed up, turned around and said"can I start over?" Everyone was screaming. So he started over!! I wanted to cry seeing him up there playing my grandpa's song I knew that my grandpa was so proud, I was proud thats why I wanted to cry. This kid is and and always will be my world!! I feel that way about all my kids.
I am so proud of Josh and they way that he is living his life. Keep it up buddy!
