So today I spent the day with my dear sweet grandma. I took her shopping, and then took her home. She wanted me to start writing names on all her things, so that when she dies I know who gets what. Thats kind of sad.
But on our ride today she opened up to me, and what she said made me sad. Are people really so selfish? You all know the situation with my grandpas piano. Well I guess my aunt said to my grandma" well you just haven't died when we thought you would, and by the time I get the piano, my grandkids won't need it." HOLY COW!!! REALLY!! Well I can't imagine telling someone that, When was she supposed to die? Because to me she has years left. I would rather her stay here for 20 more years than give my kids all her belongings. I AM IN SHOCK!!
However, I did enjoy spending the day with her. I think my positive attiude helps me not hold anything in, I just try to make her laugh. If I can make sure she has a good day I will.
My grandma means the world to me, and I hope she is around for a heck of a long time.

that is a crappy thing to say to such a sweet woman (well, anyone for that matter). I love your grandmother too - she can give me the piano so that no one in the family has to fight over it! (hehehe, Just kidding!) But really... that is rather rude of someone - ESPECIALLY a family member, you should love and cherish your family members, not necessarily their material things!
