Dating

That's a sore subject around our house these days. As all of you know that read my blog Josh is 15 and has a girlfriend. As much as I love the girlfriend, I get scared. I was 15 when I met Big Daddy, and we all know how that ended. So I think I have reason to worry when Josh is only 15 and his girlfriend is 14.
I have put down some rules, and that seems to be doing ok most days until Josh thinks he can push me.
#1 I have said that he can hang out with her 2 days a week, and that doesn't mean all day. I think 4 hours is plenty. More than that and you are just asking for trouble.
#2 Parents have to be home, and friends have to be around. It can't just be him and her.
#3 No cuddling or laying on the floor watching movies.
#4 No talking on the phone past 11pm.
I think those are reasonable rules. But when he chooses not to obey them then he gets grounded and I am once again the bad guy.
I Love his little girl friend, and I love my son a ton. I hope they can understand that I am just looking out for both of them. I would hate for them to slip and go down the hard path that Big Daddy and I did.
