I love the 4th and 24th of July, I have since I was a little kid. This year the scouts had a tent up at Eagle wood. They were selling churros and pace bars. My hubby, along with my two boys were going to be up there from 4-9. I dropped them off about 4:10, and about 6:00 I was bored out of my mind. So I decided to go buy a ton of bottled water, and Ice and head up to just hang out. That lasted about an hour, and then I started helping them. At first it was going SLOW! but as it got darker, the lines got longer and longer.
As I was helping on of the other mothers that was up there to watch the fireworks, asked me how I got roped into doing this. At first, I wanted to say something rude, but held back. I had learned that one of our dear friends was into it a couple hundred of dollars, and I wanted to make sure he made his money back. Also, I had two boys up there, and my husband. I support them, and that means jumping in and helping.
Let me just say I had a ball. I can't believe how much fun it was. Those boys, all the boys worked there little hearts out. I think they should do it again next year.
For my girls, bless their hearts they were the best little girls. They jumped in and helped as well, and it did get boring, but they were so dang good.
Where would we be with out support. It doesn't matter if I signed up, or Josh, or who ever, the main thing that makes our family work is support in everything.
