Family/Temple

Josh and I got our recommends last week, but due to our grandpa's funeral we weren't able to get them signed by the Stake President,

Josh's siblings wanted to go to the Temple as one big family, with grandma, while Em and John were in town. So I called the Stake President and asked if he could get us in, because they don't do interviews on the 3rd Wednesdays of the month but I was sure they would help us out. I know that I wasn't dreaming, I know someone picked up the phone at the Stake office when I called. I told them the situation, and they sounded like they were in a hurry, and said YES if you come at 8:20. So Josh and I were there at 8:25 we sat there for an hour. NO one showed. It was rather frustrating. So Josh got on the phone and made some calls hoping to catch someone. We got Brother P on the phone and he found some numbers for us. No one was home. So I went to bed frustrated and mad. I just didn't understand this mix up.
When I woke up I started making phone calls. We were supposed to go to the Temple Tonight, after people got home from work, which I later found out was at 5:00 and not 6:30. I am so used to Josh getting home right before 7:00 that I just assumed that everyone else did as well. When I found out that they wanted to meet at 5:30 I called to see if we could push it to 6:00 because I babysit until 5:30. They said well if it's OK we will go ahead and get things started and then you guys can just come in.
So as you can see things just kept coming up the more and more Josh and I looked at it, the more we thought well we might not be able to go. I am not one to show up late and just walk in. So I thought well maybe we just won't go. But I wanted to so bad. It had been at least 3 years for us.
So I called one of the numbers that I was given, and someone answered. It was Presidents G. He said he could see us at 5:00. So Josh and I ran up to his house and got our recommends signed.
I called A's mom and asked her if it was OK if I left my oldest in charge for about 15-30 mins. She didn't answer, but I left a message explaining what was going on. She has been fine with that in the past, so then we headed up to the Temple. We made it just in time to see everyone renting clothes.
It was nice, but I was so frustrated that I didn't get the whole effect I was hoping for.
It was nice to be there with Grandma Redd, Papa Redd, Nanny Redd, Em, John, Liz, Jeff, Alli, and Cody. It was very nice to be able to be there as one big family.

i'm glad it all worked out, even though it was so difficult to get them signed. it was great to be in the temple with everyone, we'll have to do it again soon.
