So Yesterday I was at my in laws. We were having a girls day. I showed up about 9:30 I had only been there for maybe 15 minutes. All the sudden I hear my father in law yelling Heidi!! Where's Heidi!! We wrecked her car!!! As I hear this my stomach is in my throat. I am so sick. Thinking please NO! So I walk up stairs and out the garage door. I can see the van and I am thinking to myself where did they hit it. My brother in law says right below the left light, kind of on the side of the van. Everyone was frantic. The person who my father in law was helping didn't have insuranse. So my mother in law and father in law were kind of upset and they were going to pay to fix my van. I felt so bad for everyone. But it wasn't a big deal. All that was there were a couple of little scratches. The other guys car took the brunt of it.
Later that evening my kids said to me "mom why didn't our car get hurt more?" That is when I said to them. Because your Papa is always doing things to help others. Heavenly Father was watching out for Papa. I believe that with all my heart.
My father in law does so much for others, that I know that Heavenly Father is watching out for him.
Thanks Papa for always being such a great example to all of us.

I can see the scene unfolding in my mind and it's almost comical. (probably wasn't at the time - but it is to read!) I think that it's great that you were relaxed about a few scratches and that your FIL felt that he would be the one to take care of it - so that the other family wouldn't have such a burden - especially at this time of year. Being Christ like does pay off and it's just how Christ would have us be ALL YEAR too!! ;)
