A Call From the Vice Principal

So today is the first day I have worked in like 2 weeks. I have been sick for 7 days, so today was my first day back to work. I was excited to get back and see all the people that come in every day.
About 11:00 my cell phone rang. To my surprise it was the Vice Principal of my sons school. He was explaning to me that my son Josh was in trouble, and maybe being charged with vandalism. So I needed to come and get him, he was being suspended. So those of you who know me, know that I didn't take that news well. Josh came home yesterday and told me what had happened. So I was ready with both barrels. I hate how people in authority positions try to make you feel less than. So I simply listened to what he had to say, and then proceeded to tell him this." I don't believe that my son would do something like that. He knows better and he knows that those type of action have severe consequences. My son told me what happened, and he has never lied to me. So If you can proove that he did it then he will suffer the consequences, until then I will believe my son.
By this time Big Josh is at the school with me, and after our conversation, the Vice Principal says "well after talking to your wife. and listening to how your son was talking with her I don't think that he did it.
while talking to the Vice Principal I explained to Josh that I have warned him about hanging out with the wrong crowd. This isn't the first time that Josh has almost been in trouble for something that he didn' do. But I explained to him that if he is not smart enough to change who is hanging out with than maybe he should have to pay some sort of consequence.
Life is so hard, but it is so important to have good friends, who will help keep you out of trouble.
