I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Tomorrow you have been gone 6 years. I can't say enough how much you are missed. Still after 6 years I am bawling like a baby. Oh how I miss you! I miss hearing you play the piano, and miss singing your songs. Even though I know you have gone to a much better place, I wish you were here with me. I wish you could see how the family has grown. We have so many New little kids, Mary, Bethanie, Dayvis,Jensen, Brooklyn, and Lainey. Amanda has remarried, and has I thnk 9 total. Pj and Kim are divorced, and he is living at the house, but he is doing good, and is a great dad to his girls. Tom and Jenny are doing good, I thnk their family has grown the most. Dan is going over to Africa while Tracy and her kids stay in Japan. Every one seems to be doing good.
Grandma is still hanging in there, Still doing all the house chores that she used to, and still going shopping on Fridays. She is still one of the prettiest ladies I know. I know that she misses you a lot. I know life would be a little easier for her with you here by her side. I try to spend as much time as I can with her. I like to go over and just make sure that she is having a good day.
Dad is ok, his back still hurts a lot,he does what he can around the house. Mom is doing great. Likes her Job, and loves the grandkids.
3 days after you passed, Josh and I had a little girl. I keep telling her that she met you and that you sent her down to us. She is an Angel. We named her after grandma, and Kathryn, so her name is Mary Kathryn.
Lili is going to be baptized in August. She is doing great. Her hips healed great! She is a pill and would remind you of me. She is exactly like I was. I like to call her"spit fire" as well.
Brandon has grown up, he turned 12 this year. He is now passing the sacrament along with Little Josh. He is smart as a whip. He will be going into Jr High, and will be playing the clairanett.
He also plays football. He is amazing! So so very handsome. He looks like his dad.
Josh, is as tall as me if not taller, and his foot is one size bigger than mine. Still handsome as ever a good mix between Me and his dad. His is in Jr High this year and he is playing the trombone. He has so much talent.
Big Josh is doing great, he is running his dad's company and having a ball. You would be so proud of how far he has come. And still has time for his family.
I am still a stay at home mom. Doing great. Enjoying watching my family grow up. Enjoying life and the trials that come along with it. We bought Jenny and Dick Bishops house, so we are still close by. We have done a lot to it and made it nice and cozy.
OH, and I got a piano this year, all the kids love to play it. I am teaching Lili, Mary and Bubba. Josh and Brandon are pretty good at listening to music and then playing, but we are working on reading notes. I love it.
I just want to thank you for being such a good example to me. For always putting everyone else first. For always going to church and paying your tithing. For never talking bad about people even if they had wronged you. For always making me feel important, and always being there for me. You were and still are such a great example to all of us.
I can remember when I was just married and working at Mac's, you would take me to and from work.
I remember how Joshie was you best friend, and how you loved playing with him, the same with Brandon when he came along.
I remember how much you loved Lili in light blue.
So many good memories, One that I love is going hiking up to Mirror Lake and you acted like you were tired, so I pulled you up the hill. Those were some good times. You were always there for me. I can remember letting my mouth go sometimes, and you putting me in my place, but you always came and talked to me, and made sure I knew that you loved me and that we were still friends.
I know that some day we will all be together again, but it seems like forever. I love you so much and miss your sweet smile and your positive outlook on life.
Thanks for always being my Hero!
Love Heidi Sue

Beautiful!
Heidi - what a sweet note to your Grandfather. I bet he does see how much your family has grown, he does know how much you miss him, and he surely knows all those new grandbabies that are on this earth now - without him. I think it's awesome that you have such wonderful memories of him and that you desire to keep that alive for your children. What a special grandpa to have!
Damn woman, you got me crying like a baby. Thanks for being you.
Love ya.
Josh
