BITTERSWEET!!!!!!!!

Well today has been a great day, a day that at first seemed so far away came a month early!!!! As some of you know, I have been taking my son Brandon to counseling once a week for about a year. Today we had an appointment at 11:00. So we all piled into the car and off we went. We show up, walk in and sit down and as usual he asks if there is anything we would like to talk about? And if we had any concerns about anything going on. Then Brandon turned in his assingment and we all read through it. As the counsler finished he said "Well I am glad that you turned the assingment in, and I would like to talk about you being finished with counseling. So today will be your last day. I would like to talk to your mom and dad for a minute."
Oh my gosh, I wanted to cry, and after I started talking to the counseler, I did.
It just felt like I could die today and I would be happy. A year ago I felt like my life had ended as well as Brandons. I just never thought we could get through this. I felt like life would never be the same. I have learned so much in a year, and have had so many prayes answered. Heavenly Father has been there for me the whole time. Life is so great. I don't ever see it being better than this. What a HIGH!
The most important thing is that instead of letting this issue destroy a family, we all pulled together and are closer now than ever. I know how important it is to listen to my kids and not overreact. I am so proud of Brandon and what he has accomplished. He is such a little man and has become a great example to me.
I said to the counseler, "I don't know what I am going to do with out seeing you once a week, it's like we are family" He laughed. I asked Brandon how he felt and he said "well I am happy, but sad" and we said well that's what you call bittersweet!

That is so awesome Heidi! I'm so happy to know that it's all behind you now.
I guess it's true what they say,
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
Cliche, but true.

I don't know about the situation that you are referring to but it is obvious that it was serious and could have ruined many lives. I am so glad that you are able to see the other side of this trial and are stronger for overcoming it. I hope that you feel this "high" for a long time. Take care!
